Eleventh National Endodontics Congress

The 11th National Academic Conference on Endodontics of the Chinese Stomatological Association was successfully held in Changsha City, Hunan Province, on 6-8 November 2018, hosted by the Professional Committee of Endodontics of the Chinese Stomatological Association and undertaken by Xiangya School of Stomatology, Central South University. The conference took into full consideration of the different clinical and scientific needs of the participating members, and set up academic activities such as Master Teacher Forum, Young and Middle-aged Experts Forum, Multidisciplinary Interdisciplinary Forum, and National Endodontics Top 100 Cases Exhibition and Evaluation. For the first time, the innovative "Easy Learning" Endodontics Technical Training was set up to provide participants with professional training in parallel projection technique, rubber barrier isolation technique and intraoral photography technique. A total of 976 members from all provinces and cities of China registered to participate in the conference, the number of participants hit a new high in the National Endodontics Academic Conference.

On 16 January 2018, the kick-off meeting of the Centre of Peking University Stomatological Hospital, National Clinical Medical Research Centre for Oral Diseases, was held at Peking University Stomatological Hospital. Tian Baoguo, deputy director of the Department of Social Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Wu Peixin, deputy director of the Department of Science and Education of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, Zhan Qimin, vice president of Peking University, Yu Guangyan, president of the Chinese Stomatological Association, and Guo Chuanjian, president of Peking University Stomatological Hospital, unveiled the plaque of the National Clinical Oral Disease Research Center Peking University Stomatological Hospital Centre, and the director of the Centre, Guo Chuanjian, conferred plaques on each of the 37 subcenter units.
